1 year check up

Alea had her 12 month check up yesterday in Tulsa.  It went really well.  She is in the 90th percentile for height and head size and 50th percentile for weight. Of course she had to have shots so her reacton to those was to be expected.  She had 3 all together and the nurse was quick, however, by the third one she was pretty upset.  There was no noticeable reaction to the first one, by the second her little bottom lip shot out and, well, you know the rest.  Dr. Raley did say (again) she looks like her dad and I told Wren it must be the head size thing.  Anyway,  she'll look like me eventually, right?  Her development is great and, we were told, is along the lines of a 15 or 16th month old instead of a 12 month old.  She is still saying most of the same words, momma, dadda, papa, baba (bottle), no, uh oh, etc.  She has even started dancing (in circles) and clapping her hands when we sing "if you're happy and you know it" and tries to sing along to "Twinkle twinkle little star" always chiming in on 'up above the" which sounds more like "up ba ba ba".  She loves music and even likes to watch a few minutes of Baby einstein while she eats her lunch, which has proven to be a good way to get a few veggies down her while distracted.  At the end of her appointment Dr. Raley said that everything looks great and that  she was perfect,  but we already knew that.
