It's hard to believe that another year has gone by and it is once again marked by another birthday, or two in this case. My niece had her 4th and my nephew had his first. I volunteered to make their cakes and had a great time doing it. Cora was here with me and Alea in Tulsa for a few days before her birthday and even helped me make fondant shapes for the cake decorations. Since Henry had a family only party we decided to make a single cake for him to dig into...and he certainly did. It was so much fun watching him tear that thing apart. 
I wanted to do something just a bit more special for Cora's cake as she was having her first party with her friends as well as her family this year. After searching for cake ideas on the internet I ran across a picture of a princess castle cake and immediately knew it was the perfect treat for Cora. She is a pretty princess in pink kind of girl so I was certain she would love it. Cora had her party at an inflatables place and had a nice bunch of little friends show up to celebrate with her. She loved her cake of course.
