She's quite the little hostess

I couldn't help but share this little video with you all. Alea is starting to use her imagination to pretend and it's quite amazing to see just how early it starts. Wren is reading a book on human development and he mentioned that at Alea's developmental age she isn't able to fully recognize what is really alive and what isn't. Anything that moves she considers alive. That is why she gets so tickled when I pretend that her baby is talking, picking things up, and walking around. She sees the baby as alive. Tonight at bed time she read her bed time book to "Elphy" her stuffed elephant, and stopped now and then to ask him questions about the objects on the page. Whether or not she knows one of her toys is alive, this is the beginning of her imaginative play, and I'm excited to see just how creative her ideas will be in the time to come.

Alea put all of the items in the video in their places such as the puppy in Elmo's lap. If you take a close look behind the blue bucket there is a hot pink bathing suit she thought to include in the festivities along side the little white pillow and baby doll blanket.
