A couple of weekends ago Alea, her Grandma and Grandpa and I met up with Alea's friends Vincent, Judah, Jaxson and their moms at Kiddie park in Bartlesville, OK. for a fun night of costumes and rides. Alea dressed up as a kitty cat. She was so excited about wearing her ears and painting her nose black and of course she was the cutest little girl at the park. Alea was a little hesitant about the rides when we got there. I had explained to her several times during the day that they were made especially for little kids and that they wouldn't go too fast. She didn't just take my word for it, she was cautious as usual but after a couple of rides she realized that it was true and she started to loosen up. By the end of the night she was riding everything without reserve and didn't want to leave. Even after all of her friends had gone home, she still wanted to stay and play. It was so much fun watching Alea's caution turn to sheer joy as she ran from ride to ride. Before she fell asleep in the car on the way home I asked her which ride was her favorite and she said the Ferris wheel, the only ride in the park she said she didn't want to ride when we first arrived.
