We had such a wonderful time with our family this last Thanksgiving weekend. As you can see, Alea was entertained by several animals including Pete the pony that her Pawpaw bought for Alea and her cousins. Some of the highlights for me personally were the food (naturally), having some free time to read a book, and shopping with my sister in law (by ourselves!) at 4 o'clock on Friday morning. We got most of the Christmas shopping for the kids done that day and were home by 10 AM.

We were also able to spend a little time in Shawnee with Sarah, Casey and Cora. Their holiday travel plans were unexpectedly changed when Cora came down with Pneumonia and had to spend a couple of days in hospital. She was released on Thanksgiving day and is now feeling much much better.
We had such a good time catching up with the family and can now look forward to seeing them all again in a few weeks for Christmas.

Glad you guys had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family. Bonus that you got Christmas shopping done! Kudos to you for getting up so early!
